Introducing a new version of the Basic Dress Block Sewing Pattern - the perfect tool for creating your own tailored blouses, shirts, tops, and dresses. This multi-sized pattern is designed for woven fabrics and is available as a digital download.

In this latest version of the pattern, customer feedback has been carefully considered. Enhancements have been made to accommodate larger sizes more comfortably. Additionally, the upper portion of the sleeve has been broadened for an improved fit.

I drafted the basic dress block using the Mueller & Sohn pattern making method. To ensure accuracy, the difference between bust and underbust measurements was taken into consideration. This sloper is made for a standard figure with a B/C cup bust and a height of 168 cm (5' 6 1/8"). It is important to match your unique torso length measurement to ensure proper fit. Please refer to the measurement charts included in the product photos. Note that these are the body measurements, not the measurements of the ready product.

This fitted dress pattern features front and back darts, as well as a sleeve dart, and has been drafted with a 4.5 cm (1 3/4'') ease around the bust area and 1,5 cm (9/16'') ease added to the waist and hip The sleeve has 5-10% ease added to the cap for a comfortable fit.

The digital files include:

- Downloadable PDF sewing patterns in A4/US letter format and A0 for copy shop printing
- 13 sizes (eur 32-56)
- There are two options: a layered PDF file and a file with separated sizes*
- Two separate pattern files for A4/US letter format (32-42 and 44-56)
- Instructions on how to use and print the PDF pattern and a picture guide to basic alterations
- Ai version of the pattern - you can open it in Adobe Illustrator and modify it there to create your own designs.

*A layered PDF file means there are separated layers for every size and you can choose the size or the sizes that you want to print. The layers are a great option if you wish to print all or some of the sizes at the same time or you want to blend few sizes together. (no seam allowance added)
If you wish to print only a pattern in one size or you are opening the files on a mobile device, please select the option with separated sizes without layers (no seam allowance added).

Please note that the pattern does not include seam allowance. The pattern is for personal use only and cannot be resold, shared, or distributed in digital or printed form.

The PDF pattern comes with a printing guide and instructions on how to use and print the layered PDF file (layers can only be managed on a computer). It can be printed on your regular home printer on A4/US letter sheets or A0 at a copy shop and will be emailed to you immediately after purchase.

Before cutting the final fabric, it is important to make a muslin (test garment) to check the fit and make any necessary adjustments. This will help ensure a great fit and save time and fabric in the long run.

Overall, the basic dress block is a versatile and essential tool for those who want to create their own custom-fit garments. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sewer, this pattern will help you achieve a perfect fit and make garments that are tailored to your unique body shape. Happy sewing!
